Another of Paul Clark's songs about Wolverton Railway Works. Men who would have worked in the great workshops all their lives face redundancy and closure. The inspiration for the title was the flashes of the sparks from welding torches and angle grinders.

High broken windows catching the sun,
Bending, reflecting, can’t think it soon will be gone
Once there was power, action and noise
Fathers with skills, apprentice boys.

Man and machine, partners in toil.
